1.Applicants must be in good health; aged between 16 and 60; be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of China and the relevant rules of the university and to respect the traditions and customs of the Chinese people.

2. Undergraduate / General Scholar Program applicants must have:
● academic record and diploma equivalent to a Chinese high school graduate
● HSK examination certificate. (A HSK examination center is available at XHU and applicants can take the examination here if he or she does not have the HSK certificate before coming to China.)

3.Chinese Language & Culture Program students should be:
● aged 16 to 60
● in good health
