On Classic Poetry
  
      The academic speech on Classic Poetry was given by Prof. Zhou Xiaotian from Literature and News School of Sichuan University on July.9th in the Lecture Hall.
      During the speech, Prof. Zhou firstly introduced the life story of Sushi, the literary giant of Song Dynasty, and referred the significance of poetry in one’s self-cultivation. Compared with foreign poets, he further explained the status of Chinese culture in the world. Moreover, Prof. Zhou also talked about how to write poetry. The students responded warmly to this speech and asked a few questions on poetry.
